RS Labs is a technology platform for free online tools, utilities and calculators. It is built to be fast to open, clear to use, and useful to anyone with a browser.
The first release is a set of single-purpose tools: documents, images, developer utilities, generators, everyday calculators, and engineering estimates. Later releases can add browser-based applications and experiments without turning the site into a brochure.
The engineering calculators are the visible link to RS, the steel brand of IWW Steel Industries (PVT) LTD.. They use the physical constants a site engineer expects, including a carbon-steel density of 7850 kg/m³. They are planning aids. They do not replace drawings or a structural engineer, and they are not a quotation for steel.
RS Labs is a digital initiative by RS. It is its own product, separate from the RS Steel website.
